Mid-Michigan RFKC Camp #1
ABOUT US
Mid-Michigan RFKC was founded in 1995 by two area ministers whose passion for children drew them to Royal Family Kids Camps, Inc., an organization whose mission is to create "positive memories for abused children, ages 7-11, in a one-week camp experience sponsored by local churches". After a year of hard work and determination, Mid-Michigan RFKC founders saw the dream of getting kids to camp become a reality and the middle of June has never been the same! In 1998, a second camp was added in an effort to accommodate even more area children and today, Mid-Michigan RFKC is still going strong!
While at camp, children participate in activities that are purposefully designed to be fun, non-competitive and non-threatening. Our camper to counselor ratio is 2:1 and at least 30 additional staff add to the fun! God's love is modeled consistently through our trained staff which also includes Camp Aunts and Uncles, Camp Grandparents...you could say it's a big "family"! Each camper is sure to feel supported as they enjoy waterfront activities, games, sports, activity centers, Bible stories, woodworking, archery, drama, and the crowd favorite--"Everybody's Birthday Party"!
Because RFKC is sponsored by the local church, it is absolutely free for campers and there is no cost to families/caregivers.

SPONSORING ORGANIZATIONS
RFKC is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization that provides its services without charge and has enjoyed the strong support of our community for over 14 years. Because of this partnership, we have made a difference to hundreds of children in the tri-city area. The cost of hosting the one-week camp each summer is approximately $30,000 but together, we can make it happen again this year! Our heartfelt thanks goes out to area service organizations, churches, business and individuals who have partnered with us over the years.
